Easier Contribution Statement Printing for 'All Statements'

Leah.Davenport • August 6, 2012

We just added another nice feature relating to Contribution Statements. This one is specific to printing statements for your entire church. We added the ability to specify how you want to print all the statements. You can select  All Pages ;   Set 1 (one-pagers); Set 2 (two-pagers) , etc. This is really helpful. You can print and fold the one-page statements first and then the two-page statements and so forth. That makes stuffing the envelopes much easier as you know which group will have more than one page per envelope.

Remember, we keep family statements together , so those families that generate multiple statements will always print as a multi-page statement.

Example: John and Mary Smith give jointly, and they have a fifteen year old son who gives to the church, too. The Smith family statements will always be at least two pages. The pages will be numbered to keep them together - Page 1 of 2 on Mr. and Mrs. Smith's statement; Page 2 of 2 on Johnny Smith's statement. I think you get the picture.

Helpful Hints:

Are you looking for ways to reduce the cost of sending statements, but still want to mail them each quarter? Here are a couple of hints:

  • One thing you can do is to set the Minimum Contribution Amount to $250 during the first three quarters of the year and then reduce it to $5 for the year-end statements. That will eliminate statements for children during those first there quarters, but not for the end of the year. You can read about this here.
  • Another thing you can do to reduce the number of multi-page statements you will have in the first three quarters is to print only the current quarter's contributions instead of printing them cumulatively . At year end, you can select the entire year. Example: select the date range of 4/1/2012 - 6/30/2012 for your 2nd quarter statements instead of 1/1/2012 - 6/30/2012, thereby eliminating a number of multi-page statements.
