Online Registrations - Early Bird Pricing
We have received this question a couple of times lately. "How can I give 'early bird' pricing for an online registration?"
There are a couple of easy ways you can do this. The one you choose depends on whether you want to increase the fee once or twice . Both methods use the Fee , Extra Fee and the Last Day Before Extra date . These are all on the Organization>Settings>Fees tab.
Scenario 1
The fee will increase once after a specific date. The fee starts out as $100 , but increases to $130 after April 30 .
Here are the Settings:
- Fee = $100
- Extra Fee = $30
- Last Day Before Extra = April 30
The fee will automatically increase by $30 on May 1. This can be used for either an 'early bird' discount or as a 'late fee' . It all depends on how you present this to your registrants. We use this for all of our sports teams to get people to avoid waiting until the last minute to register.
Scenario 2
The fee will increase more than once. It starts out as $100 , goes to $115 after April 15 , and finally to $130 after April 30 . You still use the Extra Fee and the Last Day Before Extra and you will manually make one change after the first date has been met.
Here are the Settings:
- Fee = $100
- Extra Fee = $15
- Last Day Before Extra = April 30 (note that this is not the date of the first increase)
Set yourself a reminder and on April 16 :
- Change the Fee to $115 (the extra fee will apply after April 30, taking the final fee to $130)
