Contribution Statements - Quarterly

We are almost at the end of the 1st quarter of 2013 . Have you thought about sending  2013 Contribution Statements ? That's right - I'm talking about sending statements now, not just at the end of the year.

A number of churches send statements every quarter . A quarterly statement helps donors track their giving more easily. It also gives the church an opportunity to thank donors throughout the year . After all, it is the tithes and generous donations of your contributors that keep the lights on and make ministry possible.

We all love to be appreciated and to know that our donations are being used to further the Kingdom. So, here is another thought - consider adding a printed card with a note from the pastor in which he can keep the donors informed about how their tithes and offerings have been used for ministry during that quarter. If the card is just a bit smaller than the window envelope, it will fit neatly in with the statement without extra folding.

If not quarterly, you could consider sending statements twice a year. You wouldn't wait a whole year to thank someone for a birthday gift. So, why wait that long to thank and inform your contributors?
