We have 2 Python scripts that are great for comparing individuals' giving over a number of years. These scripts are the same except that one looks back over the last 3 complete years  and the other looks back 5 years .

Once you add one or both of these to your database, you have the option to Add Report to Toolbar . This will place it everywhere you see the Toolbar for an individual, a Tag, an Organization (filtered or not), or a Search Builder results.

Suggestion: 

You might want to run a search of all members that joined in the last year of the report, either 5 or 3 years ago and then run the giving report. This will let you see a pattern of their giving since they've joined the church.
