UPDATE: The batch update process is restricted for now. So, when you want that to be run, just send a support request and we will do it for you. Just give us access to your Tag or send us the name of your saved search.
TouchPoint has some great tools to help you keep your database well-oiled and squeaky clean...so to speak. Those I want to mention today related to address verification
: the Search Builder Condition " Has Zip +4
" and the batch process " Validate Addresses for a Tag/Query
".
By using both of these, you can clean up any addresses that have not been validated for some reason. They might be old records, or they might be brand new records that were added during an online registration. When you add a new record to the database you will validate the address at that time, and the +4 will get added. Also, when you verify new record to remove the Just Added status you should be validating the address. But sometimes that does not always happen. Also, if you have TouchPoint import any records using spreadsheets these records will not be validated.
You can run a search and find addresses that have not been validated by using the aforementioned Condition " Has Zip +4 " equals False. These addresses do not have a zip +4, which is the best indicator that the address has not been validated.
Tag everyone in your search results and then get our TouchPoint support team to run the batch process " Validate Addresses for a Tag/Query " . This will validate all these addresses if they are in the USPS database and contain enough information to be validated.
These are just a couple of tools to help you keep you data is good shape. If you cannot contact someone you cannot minister to him!
