Thanks to West Houston Chinese Church who sponsored this project, you can now have a person's Alt Name display in the results list for both Quick Search and in Post Bundle Edit .

As you probably know, the Alt Name was created to be used by Chinese congregations that want to store and use both the American version of the name as well as the Chinese characters. However, this additional name can be used by English-speaking congregations as well.

In order for the Alt Name to display as mentioned above (whether Chinese or English), you must add the Admin Setting  ShowAltNameOnSearchResults with a value of true . Here are all the places that the Alt Name now displays:

Remember, if you want to search using Chinese characters and be able to enter part of the Alt Name without necessarily using the first character in the name, you must add the Admin Setting  UseAltNameContains with a value of true.
