Special Links
A Special Links builder is now included on the email editor. It can be used in place of the Gold Link icon on the editor’s toolbar and will soon replace it completely. The button for the new Special Links builder sits above the toolbar.
It functions dynamically. Unlike the Gold Link, the Special Links builder will prompt only for the information appropriate for the type of link selected. The Gold Link has a generic set of fields designed to accommodate any type of link. The Special Links builder will adjust the fields based on the link type. For example, when creating an RSVP link, the Gold Link presents the generic prompt OrgId / Meeting Id , leaving confusion about which ID was needed. In contrast, the Special Links builder will prompt specifically for Meeting ID .
It will also enable more options for linking to images or buttons. The Special Links builder will create the URL for the link. You then copy the link and add it to your email using your choice of methods:
- within Source mode, add the link directly to the
HTML code, or - use the editor’s regular link icon (the black link
icon, not the gold link) to add the link to your selected text or image
