Homepage Widgets
Yesterday we rolled out a new feature that will allow you great flexibility in customizing your home page -- Homepage Widgets. Each section of the homepage is now configured in a small application (a widget). You can edit them, rearrange them, enable and disable them, even create your own!
Each widget is run by up to three scripts: HTML for the layout on the page, SQL to query data, and Python to tie them all together -- perhaps even provide a chart or graph. The scripts and other widget settings are controlled by a new option on the Administration menu.
Admin users can go to Administration > Homepage Widgets to explore the widgets already available. Our developers will be introducing new widgets periodically and we can’t wait to see what your church develops!
We are introducing two widget competitions:
- Best Widget Idea - submit your idea here by May 22nd to be voted on at the May New Features Webinar. The winner will have their widget created.
- Best Widget Created - submit a widget that you create here by June 19th for the chance to win a free registration to the 2020 TouchPoint Summit. Winner will be announced on the June New Features Webinar.
